Notes for proposers:

A. If the telescope is not ready for operation due to any technical problem no compensation will be made to the lost nights. The propsers may check the readiness of telescope from the website (http:www.aries.res.in/~jtac) or they may inquire with the telescope incharges (130-cm DFOT : Yogesh C Joshi; 104-cm ST : Biman J Medhi).

B. The proposers are requested to cooperate with the telescope in-charge in filling up the observing log and uploading the same on the webpage.

C. Abbreviations : TcO – Time-critical observations; ToO – Target of Opportunity (ID - 23 ); Eng. -- Engineering night; DT – Discretionary time

D. The first priority on utilization of nights would be given to rectify the engineering and technical problems. For a functional telescope, the order of preference on both the telescopes would be TcO, DT, ToO and the regular proposals.

E. On the nights remarked with ©, 1 hr observing time will be reserved for ToO obserations.

F. Any information on the interchange of nights or cancellation of nights by the proposer must be informed to the respective telescope in-charges with copy to jtac@aries.res.in.

G. For any unutilized nights, the proposer(s) from ARIES will be held responsible.
