Vigilance Awareness Week (30 Oct - 05 Nov 2023)
Theme : “Say no to corruption; commit to the Nation”
- Bringing transparency and accountability in governance remains one of the primary means to achieve all round development of the country.
- The Central Vigilance Commission, as the apex integrity organization of India, adopts different initiatives to strive towards ensuring integrity in public administration.
- Vigilance Awareness Week is one of the tools of the Commission in increasing public awareness about the perils of corruption.
- Vigilance Awareness Week is observed every year during the week in which the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel (31st October) falls in.
- The Commission has decided that this year Vigilance Awareness Week would be observed from 30th October to 5th November, 2023 with the titled theme.
SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES AT ARIES, NAINITAL
Students from University Of Petroleum And Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun participated in the Vigilance Awareness Program at ARIES on 25th October 2023. As part of this outreach activity, integrity pledge was administered to the students and the teachers of UPES.
As a prelude to Vigilance Awareness Week 2023, a session was organized on 26th Oct 2023 at 11:00AM during which the following Preventive Vigilance Measures to be taken up were discussed:
- Awareness building about Public Interest Disclosure and Protection of Informers (PIDPI) Resolution,
- Capacity Building Programs,
- e-pledge (https://pledge.cvc.nic.in/)
- Identification and implementation of Systemic Improvement measures,
- Leveraging of IT for complaint disposal,
- Updation of Circulars / Guidelines / Manuals
The observation of Vigilance Awareness Week - 2023 (30th October to 5th November, 2023) commenced at ARIES with Integrity Pledge by all the officers, staff, and research students. The pledge was led by Dr. T. S. Kumar, Vigilance Officer & Mr. Rajneesh Mishra, Registrar. After the Pledge taking ceremony, a Vigilance Awareness Quiz was conducted in which the Officers, Staff and Research students actively participated in both offline & online mode.
