Details on the Project Positions (Electronics)

B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation or equivalent Engineering from a University/Institution recognized by the UGC/AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks (or 6.3 CGPA) or equivalent grade.

Basic knowledge and some experience in the following:-

Control systems or Mechatronics
Servo controllers or motion controller
PLCs
Laboratory tools like digital storage oscilloscopes and function generators
Matlab software, Electronics and electrical schematic design and layout software

The selected candidate will be a member of the ITCC Electronics team.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Survey of commercial off the shelf control components including motion controllers, precision encoders, BLDC motors, PLCs, real time network for distributed control, cable management system etc.
Understanding industrial standards and safety standards.
Developing and studying electrical line diagrams, schematic drawings, panel layout drawings, cabling scheme, power budgeting etc.
Developing motion control and PLC based prototypes and evaluating their performance, merits and demerits
Preparation and review of reports based on the above.
Active participation and presentation of the work in meetings.
Regular interaction with vendors.
Procurement and shipment related activities.
Candidate may need to work closely with the ITCC/TMTPO team members and Indian industries involved in the prototyping, production of hardware systems and their testing. A positive performance in this role will lead to increased responsibilities. Job may require frequent travel.

B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical/Instrumentation or equivalent Engineering from a University/Institution recognized by the UGC/AICTE with a minimum of 60% marks (or 6.3 CGPA) or equivalent grade.

Minimum two years experience after graduation, of working in an industry/public sector/government establishments in design and development activities in the field of control systems, servo control, motion control, process control, PLCs, embedded controllers, mechatronics, robotics, power electronics, drives etc.
The candidate is required to have knowledge of control system design, mechatronics, servo/motion controllers and related components like industrial drives, encoders, motors, PLCs, implementation, and programming. Must be familiar with Unix/Linux and windows platform along with software development tools like C/C++, Python, QT, Labview, Matlab etc. Preference will be given to candidate familiar in design and implementation of Motion Control Systems.

The selected candidate will be a member of the ITCC electronics team.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Survey of commercial off the shelf control components including motion controllers, precision encoders, BLDC motors, PLCs, real time network for distributed control, cable management system etc.
End to end design and development of motion control and PLC based prototypes for electromechanical systems by following industrial safety standards. Evaluating their performance, merits and demerits.
Development of cabling scheme, power budget, bill of material etc.
Development of software for human machine interface.
Preparation and review of design schematics of CAD software and reports on the above development work.
Active participation and presentation of the work in meetings involving national and international members.
Regular interaction with vendors.
Procurement and shipment related activities.
Training the subordinate team members to handle the above tasks.
