विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस पर 'हिमालय में वायु प्रदूषण और जलवायु परिवर्तन' / 'Air Pollution & Climate Change in Himalayas' On World Environment Day

विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस हर साल 5 जून को मनाया जाता है। यह पर्यावरण के मुद्दों के बारे में दुनिया भर में जागरूकता और हमारे पर्यावरण की रक्षा के लिए कार्यवाही को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए संयुक्त राष्ट्र द्वारा स्थापित किया गया था। 2021 की थीम "पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र की बहाली" है।

हम आम तौर पर सोचते हैं कि पहाड़ी इलाकों की हवा शहरों में होने वाले प्रदूषण से मुक्त है। हालाँकि, ऐसा नहीं है। इस विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस पर हम 'हिमालय में वायु प्रदूषण और जलवायु परिवर्तन' विषय पर एरीज़ के वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक डॉ मनीष नाजा के साथ बातचीत करेंगे।

लाइव स्ट्रीमिंग एरीज के फेसबुक पेज और यूट्यूब चैनल पर शाम 4:00 बजे शुरू होगी। यह एरीज में "भारत की आजादी के 75 साल: आजादी का अमृत महोत्सव" गतिविधियों का एक हिस्सा है।

World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5. It was established by United Nation to encourage worldwide awareness on environmental issues and action to protect our environment. The theme for 2021 is "Ecosystem Restoration".

We usually think that air in hilly regions is devoid of pollution occurring in the cities. However, this is not so. On this World Environment Day we will be interacting with Dr. Manish Naja, senior scientist at ARIES on the topic of 'Air pollution and climate change in the Himalayas'.

The live streaming will begin at 4:00 pm on ARIES's Facebook Page and YouTube Channel. This event is a part of activities commemorating "75 years of India's Independence: Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav".

NOTE: This will be conducted in Hindi and English mixed language.
