Recruitment of Project Engineers (03 posts, On Contract) for developing the ARIES-ISRO PATRIOT telescope project
With reference to the Implementation Agreement between ISRO and ARIES for Refurbishment and Utilization of BNST at Manora Peak, Nainital, January 2024 a team of three project engineers for a duration of 2 years and extendable, however, coterminous with project are required. The qualification and experience with renumerations, upper age limit and other guidelines shall be as per DST Norms: (OM No. SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated 10 July 2020) defined for Project Associate-I, Project Associate-II, and Project Scientist-I, as applicable. The team would be working on engineering aspects related to design, development and validation of telescope control system, GUI development, integration of OTA, AIV and commissioning. They would be required to interface with the industries during the project phase and would be required to also visit ISRO, SSOM, ISTRAC. Their work would be managed by the project manager, ARIES (as defined in MoU) and jointly reviewed by ARIES and ISRO members.

Two engineers with fulltime Bachelor or Master of Engineering/Technology degree in Electronics or Electrical engineering including all branches of Electronics and Electrical Engineering.
Desirable experience:

Servo control system design, simulation on Matlab and validation on hardware.

Mechatronics and robotics design, simulation on Matlab and validation on hardware.

Development of motion controllers using COTS components.

Design, fabrication, testing and development of PCBs
-
Embedded systems and FPGA.

Interfacing sensors and actuators by developing complete custom library for PIC and TI microcontrollers.

System level software programming skills and custom instrument control software or HMI development using Matlab, Labview, VC++, QT or Java.

Design and development work related to power electronics and drives.

Modelling and implementation on HIL and RCP platform.
Relevant hands-on industrial exposure or internship is desired.

One engineer with fulltime Bachelor or Master of Engineering/Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Desirable experience:

CAD and CAM and translating CAD drawing into shopfloor manufacturing drawings.

FEM analysis.

Machining, fabrication, verification and assembly processes.

Mechatronics design and development.
