ISRO-RESPOND Project (ARIES, Nainital)
ARIES invites applications from motivated and qualified candidates under the ISRO-RESPOND funded project titled:
“Development of an FPGA-Based CMOS Controller for Real-Time Autonomous Space Object Tracking Using Ground-Based Telescopes.”
This is a time-bound research project of three years’ duration, focused on the design and development of an FPGA-based controller for CMOS imaging systems, followed by extensive laboratory testing and on-sky validation using ground-based telescopes.
Project Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Candidates with a Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, or related branches of Electronics are invited to apply for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under this ISRO-RESPOND project.
The selected candidate will work on:
- FPGA-based real-time controller design
- CMOS imaging system development and integration
- Laboratory characterization and performance evaluation
- On-sky testing for autonomous space object tracking
The selected candidate will be part of the Space Situational Awareness (SSA) group, working on cutting-edge research and development projects funded by laboratories of ISRO, DRDO etc.
